Emily and I met a few friends from Queenstown in Cromwell for the weekend and got dressed up for the horse races. It was a perfect sun shining day to drink some local beer and bet on a few horses. I would also like to brag about the fact that I was the first of the group to win any money. Bragging Rights finished first in race #7. Choosing a horse based on their name has proved me victorious yet again! This is a picture from us at the races; Shaun from South Africa, me, Richard Dobson from England, my British friend Emily and Evan from Capetown. We clean up pretty well for a group of backpackers, don’t we? Don’t ask me where that tie came from… That wasn’t part of my original ensemble.
