Smell aside, Rotorua is one of my favorite spots in New Zealand. This Sulphur City is a geothermal capital home to blasting geysers, steaming hot springs and bubbling mud pools. I very much enjoyed wandering through Kuirau Park which offered a free display all these natural wonders. Here was the best place I have ever been where you can truly experience how alive the Earth is. Even just walking down the street with the potent sulphur stench of rotten eggs, and the murmur of matter pulsating from cracks in the sidewalks, it is apparent that this is definitely a city that stimulates all five senses.
